MOSCOW, November 15 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow police have seized a total of 20 kilograms (44 pounds) of heroin from a Tajik national, a spokesman said on Thursday.
The spokesman said transport police had initially flagged down a 40-year-old Tajik for reckless driving. "The man was very nervous and seemed suspicious to police," he said.
Police subsequently discovered in his car a bag containing heroin worth a total of 300 million rubles ($12.2 million) on the black market.
The suspect said an unknown man had asked him to deliver the bag to a specified location, where it was to be picked up by another person.
