TEL AVIV/GAZA, November 1 (RIA Novosti) - Israel's military destroyed in a special operation on Thursday seven tunnels in south Gaza used by militants to smuggle weapons into the enclave from Egypt, Israel's Defense Forces said.
A spokesman for the forces said strikes were also delivered against equipment used to launch rockets against Israel, and against small groups of militants sighted near the Israeli border.
Local radio reported that at least nine Palestinians were wounded in the operation and another seven in central and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.
