MOSCOW, November 1 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow police have seized a total of five kilograms of heroin in raids in the capital, Russia's drug control agency said on Thursday.
After 500 grams of heroin were initially seized from a 23-year-old Tajik national, police later discovered some two kilograms of heroin at his acquaintance's flat. A gas pistol was also discovered during the raid.
During a subsequent search of a garage belonging to the suspected drug couriers, police found a three-kilogram batch of heroin hidden in a spare wheel.
The officials said the total street value of the drugs was estimated at more than $1.3 million.
