WASHINGTON, October 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russia signed a memorandum of understanding with the World Bank, under which Moscow will contribute $20 million to the bank's malaria treatment program in Africa, the finance minister said.
"A portion of these funds will go to training programs, partly to attract Russian personnel for work in these programs," Alexei Kudrin, who is also a deputy premier, told journalists in Washington.
The agreement was signed by Kudrin and World Bank President Robert Zoellick on Friday.
