MOSCOW, October 2 (RIA Novosti) - At least five people have died and 29 have been injured in a fire that broke out in a five-story building in the southeast of Moscow, a source in the municipal emergencies department said Tuesday.

"The number of injured currently stands at 29, but the figure is not final," the source said.

Viktor Beltsov, a spokesman for the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations, said the call about the fire in the Institute of Governmental and Corporative Management had come too late.

He said that the first firefighting units arrived at the scene three minutes after being informed of the blaze to see most of the building engulfed in flames.

Fifty firefighting units and two firefighting helicopters are currently combating the fire, which, according to preliminary information, started on the fourth floor and later spread to the fifth.
