MOSCOW, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian-German trade chamber will be established in Moscow by the end of the year, a German economic representative in Russia said Friday.

"The German-Russian trade chamber will be established this year. It will involve both Germans and Russians," Joerg Hetsch, who chairs the Union of the German Economy in Russia, told a meeting with Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov and representatives of international business organizations.

A total of 3,000 German enterprises are currently operating in Moscow, including the Metro supermarket chain and Siemens, the world's largest electrical engineering and electronics company. Most are engaged in small and medium business, Hetsch told the meeting.

"Setting up the chamber will provide substantial support for the future development of our strong relations," he said.
