ANKARA, September 7 (RIA Novosti) - At least one person was killed and 23 injured in three separate traffic accidents in southwest Turkey, local media said Friday.

Five Russians were injured when their bus collided with another bus, also carrying a group of tourists in Alanya, a seaside resort 74 miles from Antalya.

The victims were admitted to a local hospital. One of them underwent an operation, while others were treated for minor injuries.

Earlier Friday, the Russian vice consul said a Ukrainian tour guide died and 11 Russian and Belarusian tourists were injured when their bus crashed into a car in Antalya.

The accident in the Mediterranean resort occurred when the bus drove through an intersection and a car drove through a red light, ramming it, Sergei Koritsky said.

Preliminary information said six Russians and five Belarusians were on board the bus.

At least seven tourists out of 40 were injured in a third accident in Denizli, in southwestern Turkey, when their bus hit another bus standing on the roadside.

"At the moment, we know that two of them were Ukrainians and three Georgians," the Russian general consul in Antalya, Mirzhalol Khusanov, said, adding that 32 of the tourists were Russians.

Turkey is a popular destination for Russian tourists. In the first six months of the year, a total of 634, 000 Russians visited Turkish resorts.
