MOSCOW, August 30 (RIA Novosti) - Two men were shot dead in east Moscow early Thursday, a police spokesman said.
"An unknown assailant opened fire on two men sitting in a car before fleeing," he said. The two, believed to be from the Caucasus, died instantly. Their identities are being established.
Police said several spent rounds were found at the crime scene, and a criminal investigation has been opened.
