LONDON, June 8 (RIA Novosti) - A court in London sentenced Pyotr Zhukov, whose father is Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, to 14 months in prison for attacking a local when drunk last July.

Another Russian, Artyom Dashko, who was with Zhukov at that time, was given 18 months in prison, as the court established that he had initiated the fight with the British national.

Zhukov and Dashko will have to pay 7,500 pounds ($14,750) each in compensation for bodily harm inflicted.

Last July investment banker Ben Ramsey went to what he believed was a house party. He entered an apartment where Zhukov and Dashko were celebrating, and was later attacked by Dashko.

Zhukov claimed that he was not involved in the fight, and only tried to break it up. Ramsey suffered a crushed cheekbone, cuts on the back of his head, two cracked ribs, a swollen jaw and bruises to his arms, shoulder, chest and legs.
