MOSCOW/ST. PETERSBURG, May 6 (RIA Novosti) - A passenger jet has made an emergency landing in St. Petersburg, Russia's Federal Agency for Air Transport said Sunday.

The Boeing-737 aircraft with 113 passengers and seven crewmembers on board was en route to Amsterdam Sunday morning when it had to return to the Pulkovo airport after a guidance system failure, the agency said.

The crew of the aircraft, which belongs to the air company GTK Russia, reported to air controllers about the failed guidance system 14 minutes after the take-off and made a decision to burn off fuel and return to the airport, the agency said.

The Boeing-737 landed safely at the Pulkovo airport at 11:30 a.m. Moscow time (07:30 a.m. GMT) and no one was hurt during the emergency landing, the agency said.
