GROZNY, February 23 (RIA Novosti) - Three to five policemen were killed in an explosion at a Chechen Interior Ministry base in the North Caucasus republic's eastern Gudermes District, police said Friday.

A ministry source said careless handling of ammunition could be to blame for the incident.

Earlier, it was reported that at least five people were killed.
