MOSCOW, February 6 (RIA Novosti) - Five people have been injured in a 30-car pileup in the south of the Moscow Region, a rescue service said Tuesday.
The road crash happened at the 97th kilometer (60th mile) marker of a highway leading from Moscow to the southern city of Rostov-on-Don and involved a long truck and four buses.
According to preliminary information, the truck driver lost control of his vehicle, sending it skidding sideways along the slippery highway and causing cars to crash into it.
One person was hospitalized and four others were treated at the site.
