TBILISI, December 29 (RIA Novosti) - Georgia's legislators have adopted a draft budget for 2007, increasing allocations for energy and defense needs.
The bill, adopted by 150 votes to nine, puts budget spending at $2.75 billion and budget revenues at $2.177 billion.
The budget cuts allotments for the capital, Tbilisi, and for the education ministry.
The macroeconomic parameters of the document forecast nominal GDP growth for 2007 at 14.5%, real GDP at 7.5%, inflation rate at 6%, and the exchange rate of the national currency, the lari, at 1.75 to the dollar.
