MOSCOW, November 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's state-controlled pipeline monopoly Transneft [RTS: TRNF] said Thursday its earnings calculated to Russian Accounting Standards gained 15.8% to 147.8 billion ($5.6 billion) in January-September 2006, year-on-year.
The company's gross profit increased 14.9% to 6.9 billion rubles ($261 million) compared to the same period of 2005, while sales profit grew 20.8% to 5.9 billion rubles ($221.39 million).
Pre-tax profit slipped 3% to 5.43 billion rubles ($203.7 million).
Transneft's RAS net profit during the reporting period was up 60% year-on-year to 3.6 billion rubles ($135 million).
