MOSCOW, November 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's third-largest oil producer, TNK-BP, has paid 30 billion rubles ($1.12 billion) in back taxes for 2002-2003, the Russian finance minister said Friday.

The joint Russian-British venture met the results of Russia's Federal tax authorities' inspections into the company's tax payments for 2002 and 2003, while inspections for 2004 and 2005 are still underway.

Alexei Kudrin said half the sum will be allocated to the budget of Russia's oil-rich Tyumen Region and the other half to the Federal budget.

Last month, Robert Dudley, the head of TNK-BP, said the company created a special reserve fund, allocating $1.5 billion for the repayment of possible tax claims revealed by the inspections.
