Russia's Petrova advances to Kremlin Cup final

MOSCOW, October 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Nadezhda Petrova, seeded 5 at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, advanced to the final of the $2.34 million tournament after defeating Saturday Nicole Vaidisova (8) from the Czech Republic 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 (7-3).

After taking a blank victory in the first set Petrova had to take a medical break due to a leg injury and took another one after losing the second set. The game continued for 2 hours 25 minutes.

In the final match of the tournament in ladies singles group Petrova will face a winner in another semifinal encounter between two Russian players - Yelena Dementyeva (4) and Anna Chakvetadze.
