MOSCOW, September 13 (RIA Novosti) - Aeroflot (RTS: AFLT), Russia's leading airline, is unlikely to decide on a supplier of long-haul airplanes for its fleet during a Thursday board meeting, an informed source said Wednesday.

The company is upgrading its long-range passenger fleet, and is considering a choice between the Boeing-787 and the Airbus A-350.

"Aeroflot board members will most likely not reach a decision Thursday as to the choice of new long-range airplanes for the company's fleet," the source said.

"Management is inclined towards Boeing long-range airliners, while state agencies lean toward the Airbus option," he said.

Aeroflot plans to purchase 22 aircraft under an initial contract.
