VLADIKAVKAZ, September 11 (RIA Novosti) - Three people were killed and four injured in a helicopter crash during a military exercise in southern Russia, an emergencies ministry source said Monday.
The Mi-8 Hip transport helicopter with 11 logistics officers from the headquarters of the North Caucasus military district on board crashed in N. Ossetia at 17.33 Moscow time (13.33 GMT), a source in the Russian Defense Ministry earlier said.
The group was headed by the chief of staff of the district's logistics service, the source said.
