GROZNY, September 9 (RIA Novosti) - Two caches with weapons and ammunition have been found in Chechnya, a law enforcement source said Saturday.
"A cache was discovered on the edge of the town of Argun [in central Chechnya]: a Kalashnikov assault rifle, 33 rocket propelled grenades, five RGD-5 and F-1 hand grenades, 1,039 cartridges of various caliber, and a 200-gram TNT demolition charge," he said.
He said the other cache was found in a forest not far from the village of Balansu in the Nozhai-Yurt district, in southern Chechnya, containing two Kalashnikov rifles, an RGD-5 hand grenade, 230 5.45-mm cartridges, and 12 200-gram TNT demolition charges.
A search operation has been launched to track down the caches' owners.
