MOSCOW, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - About 62% of Russians are not satisfied with the way they spent their vacations or took care of their health in the last six years, a national pollster said Monday.
According to a poll conducted June 1-2 by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM), of 1,600 respondents from 153 communities in 46 regions, 45% of Russians are also not satisfied with their personal of their families' health.
A third of Russians, 32%, do not take care of their health for various reasons, the pollster said.
About 31% avoid drinking alcohol and smoking, 11% make regular visits to doctors, 16% follow healthy diets and 12% practice sports regularly.
The Federal State Statistics Service reported Monday that Russia's population fell by 348,700 people, to 142.4 million, in the first six months of 2006.
