MOSCOW, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - A textile factory near the main Russian government building in Moscow is on fire, the police said Monday.
The police said the fire at Trehgornaya Manufactura, one of the oldest factories in Russia, started around 12.00 p.m. Moscow time.
"Thick clouds of smoke are coming out from second-floor windows," a police source said, adding that the factory's staff was being evacuated.
Fire engines and 15 teams of firefighters are working at the site, the source said.
No casualties have been reported yet.
