KIEV, August 3 (RIA Novosti) - Yulia Tymoshenko, a former prime minister and heroine of the 2004 "orange revolution," said Thursday a grand coalition formed in the country's parliament would not last for long.

"I believe that such an unnatural union of the Communists with the Party of Regions, and [pro-presidential] Our Ukraine with Socialists has no hopes whatsoever for a long life," Tymoshenko said after a roundtable with President Viktor Yushchenko, outgoing Prime Minister Yury Yekhanurov, and parliamentary and party leaders.

"This absurd situation will not exist for long," the fiery politician said, adding that her eponymous bloc would go into uncompromising opposition.

Tymoshenko urged deputies from other factions to join the opposition movement after Yushchenko's decision to submit the candidacy of his former rival, Viktor Yanukovych, for the prime minister's job.
