MOSCOW, July 26 (RIA Novosti) - A total of 195 citizens of Russia and other CIS countries, including 93 children, arrived in Moscow early Wednesday after being evacuated from Lebanon via Syria, airport services said.

The press-service of Domodedovo international airport said the evacuees had arrived onboard two Emergency Situation Ministry planes from Latakia airport.

Russia and other countries are carrying a massive evacuation campaign to take their nationals out of Lebanon, where Israel has been hitting Hizbollah targets since militants of the Islamist organization killed eight Israeli soldiers and abducted two others in a cross-border raid two weeks ago.

About 2,000 Russian and CIS citizens have already been evacuated from the conflict zone.

More than 350 people are thought to have died in Lebanon since Israel launched a military operation. Another 600,000 people have fled the fighting. Over 40 Israelis have also lost their lives.
