MOSCOW, July 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry said Tuesday it had no plans to evacuate Russian citizens from Israel amid the country's escalating conflict with Lebanon.

Israel launched a military action against Lebanon 13 days ago after Islamic militant group Hizbollah captured two Israeli servicemen in a cross-border raid. The country has also launched action against Hamas militants in the Palestinian Authority.

"If the Russian government gives the order, then we [the ministry] as a federal body of the executive branch will evacuate Russian citizens from Israel," Vladimir Boreiko, a deputy head of the ministry's international department, said in an interview with Ekho Moskvy (Echo of Moscow) radio station.

But he said there was no "question of evacuating Russians today."

The ministry has already evacuated about 2,000 of its citizens from Lebanon and the Palestinian Authority.
