TEHRAN/MOSCOW, July 4 (RIA Novosti, Stanislav Khamdokhov) - Russia's Atomstroiexport and Iranian representatives signed Tuesday a schedule to commission the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran in the second half of 2007, an Iranian diplomatic source said Tuesday.
The Russian nuclear power equipment and service export monopoly has been working on the project to build Iran's first NPP, which employs over 3,500 Russian workers, since 1995.
The source said the commissioning date had been coordinated Monday at a meeting between the head of Russia's Federal Nuclear Power Agency, and the chairman of Iran's Supreme Audit Court.
