Russia's Lavrov says receives info on abducted diplomats in Iraq

MOSCOW, June 21 (RIA Novosti) - Information about four employees of the Russian Embassy in Iraq who were abducted on June 3 is regularly coming in, the foreign minister said Wednesday.

Sergei Lavrov said, "We do not intend to share this information with anyone, because the most important thing at the moment is to avoid undermining the efforts that are currently being undertaken to locate and release our citizens."

During the attack on an embassy car in Baghdad, Russian diplomat Vitaly Titov was killed.

The kidnappers seized Fyodor Zaitsev, third secretary of the embassy, and also diplomats Rinat Agliulin, Anatoly Smirnov and Oleg Fedoseyev.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the abductors to immediately release the captives.
