MOSCOW, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - Investigators probing a 2002 terrorist attack on a Moscow theater have extended their inquiry by another two months, a lawyer representing victims' families said Tuesday.

"I have received a notification from an investigator, saying the inquiry will take two more months," Igor Trunov said.

A group of terrorists attacked Moscow's Dubrovka theater during an evening performance in October 2002, taking 923 people hostage. Security forces stormed the building after a three-day standoff. Most of the hostages survived, but over a hundred died in hospital, allegedly as a result of poisoning by an incapacitating gas used in the release operation.
