Iran believes some nuclear proposals from six world powers are unacceptable, an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Sunday.

TEHERAN, June 11 (RIA Novosti) - Iran believes some nuclear proposals from six world powers are unacceptable, an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Sunday.

The United States, France, Germany, Britain, Russia and China have agreed a package of incentives for Iran in return for its consent to stop its nuclear enrichment program. EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana presented the offer to Tehran during his visit to Iran June 6.

"We should study the package offered. There are points which are acceptable. There are points which are ambiguous and there are points that we believe should not exist," Hamid Reza Asefi said.

Western nations believe Iran's nuclear program is a cover for the production of nuclear weapons but Tehran insists its program is meant for peaceful energy purposes.

Asefi said Iran would give its answer to this offer in the near future.

"We have received the package, we should give our views in response to that package and we will offer our proposals," Asefi said.

Asefi also said Iran would not give up its right to civilian nuclear energy and would not hold talks on this issue.
