KIEV, June 10 (RIA Novosti) - The latest round of talks between leaders of a mooted "orange coalition" in the new Ukrainian parliament failed to produce any results, a spokesman for the Our Ukraine party said Saturday.

"Perhaps it would be right to say that this round has ended with no results," Tatyana Mokridi said.

Yuriy Yekhanurov, the leader of the pro-presidential bloc Our Ukraine, Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the eponymous Yulia Tymoshenko bloc, and Alexander Moroz, the leader of the Socialist Party, earlier reached a compromise on the land privatization issue, and decided that all issues that had not been included in the coalition agreement would be discussed later as part of a separate protocol.

Under Ukraine's Constitution, parliament has to form a coalition majority within a month after it begins work. If parliamentarians fail to reach an agreement, President Viktor Yushchenko is entitled to disband the legislature and call new elections.

Three-way talks aimed at freezing out the pro-Russian Party of Regions - which claimed the largest single share of the vote in the indecisive March elections - have been slowed by disagreements on key appointments. Tymoshenko is thought to want to return to her old post as prime minister, from which she was sacked by Yushchenko last September after eight months in charge amid accusations of government corruption.

Viktor Yushchenko said in his regular Saturday radio address to Ukrainians that holding repeat elections to the country's parliament was "inadmissible."

"There will be no repeat elections - you have to form a majority," he said.

Yushchenko said the politician who wants to be prime minister should be responsible for the creation of a parliamentary coalition.

"This is European practice, this is common sense, this is a norm of Ukraine's Constitution," he said.
