MOSCOW, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - The role of education in solving the socio-economic problems of migrants will top the agenda of education ministers from the Group of Eight industrialized nations, Russia's education minister said Tuesday.

Andrei Fursenko said the ministers would meet in Moscow June 1-2 and in St. Petersburg June 3-4.

"People moving from country to another should adapt themselves to social life and economy of a new country in conditions of the existing international labor market," he said. "Their education may play an important role here."

Other issues on the agenda will be the role of education in the development of the innovation economy, international education standards, and accessibility of education.

Fursenko said the Chinese, South African, Indian, Brazilian and Mexican education ministers would also attend the meetings.
