MOSCOW, May 1 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart George Bush said in a telephone conversation that they were content with bilateral counter terrorist cooperation, the Kremlin press service said Monday.

"In light of preparation for a summit in St.Petersburg in July this year, the heads of state discussed issues on the bilateral agenda," the press service said in a statement. "Stress was made on progress in counter terrorist cooperation."

"The sides also discussed interaction on urgent international problems, including Iran's nuclear issue, on which numerous consultations on different levels are to be held soon," the statement said.
