- Natalya Golts beat Ludmila Christea of Moldova in the finals to win the gold in the women's 55kg category. Johanna Mattsson of Sweden and France's Anna Gomis took the bronze

- Liliya Kaskarakova took the silver in the women's 48kg category, losing to Maria Stadnyk in the finals. Fani Psatha of Greece and Italy's Francine De Paola took the bronze
