MOSCOW, April 24 (RIA Novosti) - A delegation from soccer club Krylya Sovetov is making a one-week visit to North Korea to look for possible new players, the club said on its Web site said Monday.

The club said the visit aimed to improve its knowledge of soccer in the reclusive Stalinist state.

"I was deeply impressed with North Korea's under-17 team at the World Cup last year in Peru," said club president Alexander Baranovsky. "The team reached quarterfinals but lost to Brazil in extra time."

Baranovsky, whose club finished third in the Premier League in 2004 but dropped to 14th last year, said that the delegation would consider taking Korean players to the Samara club, and that Korea was open to proposals.

The visit coincides with the final match of the Korean national championship, and the delegation will also have a chance to see a practice session involving the country's best young players.
