MOSCOW, April 13 (RIA Novosti) - Kashira Electric Power Plant No. 4 Thursday announced net profits for 2005 of more than 150 million rubles (more than $5 million).
The Moscow Region plant is part of Wholesale Electricity Generating Company No. 1, established during restructuring of electricity monopoly Unified Energy System (UES).
The plant said it would pay 117.4 million rubles (about $4 million) in dividends for the nine months of 2005 it had operated independently from the Moscow electricity monopoly Mosenergo.
Wholesale Electricity Generating Company No. 1 comprises six state electric power plants and is one of the largest thermal power generating companies established during the reformation of the power sector with capacity of 9,531 megawatts. UES holds a 100% stake in its charter capital.
