MISSION CONTROL (Korolyov, Moscow Region), April 9 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian-US space crew that had spent six months on board the International Space Station landed safely in the Kazakh steppe on Sunday, returning home together with Brazil's first astronaut, mission control said.
The Soyuz capsule landed at 03:47 a.m. Moscow time (23:47 p.m. GMT) in a designed area on the territory of Kazakhstan, a mission control official said.
Brazil's first astronaut Marcos Pontes spent a week on board the International Space Station and returned to Earth together with the 12th ISS crew comprising Russian Valery Tokarev and American William McArthur.
