TEHRAN, April 8 (RIA Novosti) - The head of the UN's nuclear watchdog will visit Iran within the next two days, an Iranian news agency reported Saturday, citing a diplomatic source.

The Islamic Republic News Agency quoted a diplomat close to the talks process on the Iranian nuclear issue as saying that Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Mohamed ElBaradei would arrive in Tehran on Sunday or Monday.

Concerns about Iran's missile capability have been growing since the Islamic Republic announced its intention to resume nuclear research in January and the country's hard-line president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, made a number of controversial remarks, including a call to wipe Israel "off the face of the map."

ElBaradei's visit is part of the process of developing cooperation between Tehran and the agency, the diplomat said.

"At the visit, the head of the IAEA will meet with Iranian officials responsible for carrying out Iran's nuclear program," he said.
