Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko expects candidates for the prime ministerial post to show him clear programs of action, a presidential staff official said Friday.

KIEV, March 31 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Suprun) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko expects candidates for the prime ministerial post to show him clear programs of action, a presidential staff official said Friday.

Ukrainian presidential secretariat official Anatoliy Matviyenko, said: "The president proposes that leaders campaigning to become prime minister and to form their own teams present their programs," he said.

Matviyenko said the president backed the establishment of a unified democratic coalition with a clearly defined program of action, a means of guaranteeing its implementation on to the planned timeframe, and which would take personal responsibility for its implementation.

The official said the Our Ukraine bloc was already working on such a program.

Yushchenko is ready to work with a coalition or with opposition forces, he said.

With the vote-count nearly complete in the elections to Ukraine's 450-seat parliament, the pro-Russian Party of Regions is still in the lead with 32.12% of the vote.

Former presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovych's party is followed by former Prime Minister Tymoshenko's bloc (22.28%), the pro-presidential Our Ukraine bloc (13.95%), the Socialist Party (5.67%) and the Communist Party (3.66%).
