"We established a great deal of violations at polling stations, particularly discrepancies in electoral lists, said the press secretary of party leader Viktor Yanukovich, who had lost the re-run of the disputed 2004 presidential election that resulted in the "orange revolution" and the incumbent pro-Western authorities' coming to power.

KIEV, March 26 (RIA Novosti) - The Party of Regions, representing the opposition at the ongoing parliamentary elections in Ukraine, highlighted a huge number of voting violations Sunday.

However, he continued, it is early to speak of mass rigging.

The Ukrainian voters' committee, an independent body monitoring the elections, earlier said it had received dozens of violation reports from various regions of the country, where it said instances of damaging ballot-boxes, voting outside booths and even exerting pressure on electors had been registered.

Ukrainians are voting in a Sunday parliamentary election, in which no party is expected to gain a majority of votes that would enable it to form its own government.
