MOSCOW, March 23 (RIA Novosti) - Mariya Patrova and Alexei Tikhonov took the bronze medal Thursday in the pairs competition at the World Figure Skating Championships.
The Russian pair placed second in the free skate Wednesday night, but still ended up 0.2 points behind silver medallists Dan Zhang and Hao Zhang (186.42 points) from China. Another Chinese pair, Qing Pang and Jian Tongchn (189.20), took gold.
Russia's Julia Obertas and Sergei Slavnov finished eighth.
