MOSCOW, March 9 (RIA Novosti) - A fire in a basement of Moscow State University's chemistry faculty has been extinguished, a city emergencies official said Thursday.
We received a call at 3.11 p.m. Moscow time," the official said. "Witness said there was thick smoke coming out the basement. An electrical distribution caught fire but it was quickly extinguished. The fire covered two square meters."
He said no one was injured in the fire.
