MOSCOW, March 8 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian foreign minister and the executive director of the American Jewish Committee have called for dialogue between confessions and for measures to counter religious intolerance.
Sergei Lavrov met with David Harris and other officials of the committee in New York Tuesday as part of his U.S. tour.
"The sides discussed bilateral Russian-U.S. relations, with an emphasis on further joint efforts to combat global terrorism," the ministry's site said, adding that the Middle East peace process had also been discussed.
