TEHRAN, March 4 (RIA Novosti) - Iran will never give up its legal rights in the nuclear sphere, the country's top nuclear negotiator said Saturday.

"Given the support of Iranian people, no leader will be able to retreat in the nuclear energy sphere in this country," Ali Larijani said on arriving in Tehran after nuclear talks in Moscow and Vienna. "The Islamic Republic of Iran detests any threats in the sphere of protection of its legal rights in the nuclear research." He said Iran was making every effort to realize its rights in the peaceful nuclear sphere.

"Iran should hold talks with all countries involved in the resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue. These [countries] are Russia, China and the European Union," Larijani said.

He said many countries wanted to restore trust in Iran's peaceful nuclear plans and maintain its rights of nuclear research. "However, some countries, including the U.S., are trying to hamper this process."

Larijani said no agreement had been reached on the suspension of Iran's nuclear research during his talks with the French, German and British foreign ministers in Vienna.

"Those who think that Iran will resume the moratorium on nuclear research [which it abandoned in January] under pressure are mistaken as the nuclear issue is an issue of the strong will of the Iranian nation," he said.
