MOSCOW, March 1 (RIA Novosti) - An Iranian delegation arrived in Moscow Wednesday for the latest round of talks on Russia's proposal to carry out uranium enrichment for Iran's nuclear program.

The delegation is led by Ali Larijani, the head of the Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

A preliminary agreement on a joint uranium enrichment venture was reached during talks in Tehran February 26.

Russian nuclear power agency chief Sergei Kiriyenko said in Tehran that he saw no "organizational, technical or financial problems in forming a joint venture."

Russia has insisted that the joint venture proposal is only valid on condition Iran re-impose a moratorium on uranium enrichment.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in Tokyo Wednesday that Tehran would enrich uranium in small quantities for research purposes even if most uranium enrichment were carried out in Russia. He said his country had the right to pursue nuclear technology for peaceful use, despite international criticism of its nuclear programs, which are suspected of being a cover for military purposes.
