"Double standards" in non-proliferation unacceptable - Ivanov
MUNICH, February 5 (RIA Novosti) - "Double standards" in nuclear non-proliferation efforts are unacceptable, the Russian defense minister said Sunday. Speaking at the 42nd international security conference in Munich, Sergei Ivanov who is also Russia's deputy prime minister, said there should be no exceptions in the fulfillment of requirements set by international treaties.
At the same time, he said international export control regimes should not serve as a cover for unfair competition and efforts to edge competitors out of arms markets.
