MOSCOW, January 30 (RIA Novosti) - A delegation from Russian energy giant Gazprom discussed possible natural gas and investment cooperation with Serbia, Gazprom said in a statement Monday.

The delegation, headed by deputy board chairman, Alexander Medvedev met in Serbia on January 27 with the country's president Boris Tadic and other top officials. The executives touched upon natural gas deliveries to Serbia and promising investment projects.

The two sides in particular agreed to develop Russian-Serbian joint venture Yugorosgas. Priority projects included the construction of an underground gas storage facility and a gas pipeline to Bulgaria.

Tadic confirmed Serbia's readiness to help develop cooperation between Gazprom and Serbian energy companies, the statement said.

Gazexport, a Gazprom affiliate, delivered over 2 billion cu m of Russian natural gas to Serbia in 2005, and plans to supply at least the same volume in 2006.
