MOSCOW, January 13 (RIA Novosti) -- Russia's Navy Commander has called the Yalta lighthouse incident a provocation and unfriendly act on the part of Ukraine, the Navy press service said Friday.
"The seizure of the Yalta lighthouse must be regarded as a pure provocation, as an extremely unfriendly act," the Navy statement quoted Admiral Vladimir Masorin as saying.
The statement said that Ukraine's actions were "illegal and violated core agreements."
"I have instructed the Black Sea Fleet headquarters to resolve the situation as soon as possible," Masorin said.
