MOSCOW, December 27 (RIA Novosti)

Below is a summary of the main military-related events in Russia, the CIS and neighboring countries on December 27, 2005

* Russian Defense Minster and Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said the following:

- revising the agreement on Russia's Black Sea Fleet deployed in the Ukrainian autonomy of the Crimea was unacceptable

- the leasing price of radars in the Ukrainian cities of Sevastopol in the Crimea, in the southern part of the country, and Mukachevo in southwestern Ukraine could be fixed at bilateral negotiations

* Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said in a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin that Ukraine would not violate the agreement on Black Sea Fleet bases in the autonomy of the Crimea

* The Rostov Helicopter Plant (Rostvertol) said a serial model of the Mi-28N Night Hunter conducted its first test flight

* The Federation Council, the Russian upper house of parliament, approved President Putin's initiative to send 200 troops to Sudan to participate in the UN-led peacekeeping mission in the country

* Russian Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov said the ministry planned to close 17 military colleges out of the existing 78 by 2010
