MISSION CONTROL CENTER (Moscow Region), December 24 (RIA Novosti) - The astronauts currently working at the International Space Station (ISS) have received videos and books for Christmas and New Year's, but no champagne, a senior Russian mission control official said Saturday.

Vladimir Solovyov said the Christmas gift package for ISS Expedition 12 Commander William McArthur, of the U.S., and flight engineer Valery Tokarev, of Russia, had been delivered on board by a Progress M55 space freighter.

Solovyov said the ISS crew would be celebrating with a decorated Christmas tree and that Santa Claus would drop in at the Mission Control Center one of these days to send his seasonal greetings to the astronauts via a video link.
