Kamaz predicts $7mln year-on-year net profit increase in 2006

MOSCOW, December 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russian truck manufacturer Kamaz said Wednesday its net profit would increase by almost $7 million year-on-year in 2006.

According to a new business plan adopted by the company's board, net profit is expected at $17.44 million in 2006, a large jump from this year's $10.68 million.

Kamaz's truck sales are expected to hit 34,000 vehicles in 2006, against 32,200 this year, with 25,500 vehicles to be sold in Russia and 8,500 abroad. Exports will rise to 40% of sales, up from 33% in 2005.

Revenue from the company's core business is expected to reach $1.77 billion, representing a 14% year-on-year increase.
