GROZNY, December 11 (RIA Novosti) - According to preliminary information, the fire which broke out in a trailer within the Chechen government complex killing the republic's Security Council Secretary was caused by an electricity cable short circuiting, the deputy head of the local Interior Ministry said Sunday.
Akhmed Dakayev said, "The death [of Rudnik Dudayev] occurred due to suffocation, as the interior of the trailer was coated with plastic."
The body has been sent to the city of Mozdok for a post-mortem examination, Dakayev said.
The fire broke out at around 14:00 Moscow time (11 a.m. GMT).
